Amazing the range of music I get to play at various gigs. Expect a heavy dose of Jazz, Soul, Funk, Brazilian, Boogie, House and more.

Manning the turntables weekly will be Friends Not Foes head honcho, Dean Dixon, who’s sets take listeners on unexpected journeys through a diverse array of soundscapes anytime he’s manning the wheels. With a history of warming the floors alongside some of the world’s most prominent international electronic music makers, including everyone from heavyweights like Robert Hood, and Juan Atkins to eclectic diggers like Optimo & Tim Sweeney to the bastion of Balearic sound, Jon Sa Trinxa. Dean’s recent 3-year long residency at Bali’s highly lauded Potato Head Beach Club saw him quickly take on other residencies on the island at several other key establishments, including The W Hotel, Rock Bar and Karma Beach Bali. Dean’s skills have landed him gigs in far-flung places around the globe including China, Hong Kong, South Korea, Kuala Lumpur, Singapore, Australia, and the United States.
His endless pursuit to find weird and wonderful sounds and share them with others creates special moments each and every time he plays, whether that’s at a 4000-person venue warming up the dance floor for a platinum award-winning international act on New Year’s Eve or serving up more intimate sounds at a boutique beach club during sunset.
Don’t be surprised to hear well-aged rock squeezed between rare underground disco cuts, afrobeat, house & sampled boogie records followed by vinyl-only South East Asian rarities picked up during his travels.
Dean will be joined at the helm occasionally by hand-selected DJs from the tri-city and beyond.
